An early life passion re-ignited
Like many kids, I loved sports at an early age—especially those involving two wheels. At the age of 10, I began my passion for BMX. Over the years, I would move from local and state to national races as my primary focus, gaining sponsorships and opportunities to ride for various teams.
By the time I was 17, I had found myself winning nationals and finding my groove. However, after creating a website for my local BMX scene, I developed a passion for what would unknowingly become my work, and my focus began to shift to this and away from riding. On top of this, I would focus my free time on music.
Fast-forward to 2020. After moving outside the city at the end of the previous year and the world in lockdown because of a pandemic, I suddenly found myself back on a bike, ripping through all the trails around our new house, this time on a mountain bike.
At the end of 2022, I began signing up for a few races, and I've been back at it ever since. However, things are different this time, as my goals aren't results-based; they're the social connection and immense benefits riding my bike has for my mental and physical health.
